The Red Haubarg Museum is not a conventional museum. In its exhibition rooms, you will find neither display cases nor information panels, graphics, or multimedia stations. Instead, the exhibition concept allows the house itself and its exhibits to tell their own stories.
The Red Haubarg lives and breathes. Its distinctive exhibits are talkative, whimsical, and full of character. Visitors become part of the house’s story from the very moment they step inside. The only thing made of wood here is the impressive four-sided timber structure itself. Beneath its vast roof, the exhibits may strike up a friendly chat with visitors, sharing their thoughts, memories, and moods. From time to time, a “choir” of historic farming implements can also be heard singing down from the grain loft above.
